In August 2023, there were two trains per day to Tbilisi. Make sure to bring coins, as the ticket has to be bought on the train from a vending machine that only accepts coins. The fare is 2 Lari.

On the first ~30 km to Khashuri, the train is going extremely slowly (max 25 km/h). But after that it's going faster so that it reaches Tbilisi according to the schedule.

We took our bicycles which was no problem.
