Hiking Highlight
The summit attraction “First Cliff Walk by Tissot” on Grindelwald-First is open daily.
The summit circular route consists of a 40-meter-long single-cable suspension bridge, an ascent snail and a 45-meter-long viewing bridge. The circular route leads on the west side of the First summit and the Berghaus, at a dizzying height, along the steep rock face, back to the sun terrace of the First mountain inn.

On the ridge, a magnificent view of the Eiger, Wetterhorn, Scheckhorn & Co. is offered. There is also a Cliff Walk and the First Flyer as well as the First Glider.
In winter, the mountain restaurant First lunchtime usually has a lot going on. There are toilets and a faucet where you can fill your water bottle for free. A Vesperraum is also available.

Interesting path on iron footbridges along the rock face, especially when fog comes up and you can't even see your hands in front of your eyes. That reminds you of the feature film "Fog Nebula of Horror". 😄🌫😱

The gondola ride here is an experience in itself, and the cliff walk even more so. We were able to enjoy the view.

You should pay attention to the direction of travel, especially when there is a strong crowd. In some places it is difficult to keep your head away from the rock;).

You should definitely do this route when you are on the Grindelwald First. Impressive landscape, great panorama. A bit disturbing during the high season the tourists who have to photograph each subject 20x or when a group of 10 needs each subject individually for their selfie. Then a traffic jam forms on the way.

The passage across this iron construction is quite airy. A test for a head for heights.
