Blasius Trogmann is considered Andreas Hofer's most important ally in the Tyrolean Uprising of 1809. A native of Merano, however, he had another passion besides his homeland: viticulture and winemaking.

In his hometown, the Finkhof in Hagen, Blasius Trogmann was able to pursue this passion. The Finkhof was first documented in 1213. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, it was the aforementioned Blasius Trogmann who delivered his wines as far afield as the Austrian capital. More than 200 years later, the winery is still run by the Trogmann Innerhofer family. And their passion for wine remains, which they also sell in their own farm shop, the Meran Farm Shop.

The wines from the Finkhof winery include a light, fruity Vernatsch, an intense Merlot, and a complex Lagrein. In addition, the Vernatsch grapes are processed using traditional methods to produce sparkling wine, which is sold under the Hagenach brand. The range is rounded out by an elegant cuvée bearing a name that testifies to the Meran Finkhof winery's commitment to the family and estate heritage: Blasius.

Opening hours: From March to December, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
