The Porta di San Donnino is the only remaining city gate of the medieval city walls of Fidenza, in the province of Parma. The gate dates from the 14th century and was built by order of Bernabò Visconti, lord of Milan1. It was founded in 1364 as the western entrance to the city, on the first arch of an ancient Roman bridge buried in the early Middle Ages.
