South Cottonwood Creek Trail is a popular hiking destination along a creek just outside the bustle of Bozeman. The trail crosses several well-constructed bridges on the earlier, flatter miles of trail. You do have to work to get out of the parking lot at the start (via up-hill switchbacks), but the majority of the trail after that is gentle hills down to the water and then back up from it.
