Hiking
There are two distinct high points on the ridge of Mount Ellis, and the higher of the two sits at 8,331 feet. The ridge between Little Ellis and Big Ellis is pretty rocky, but the trail actually skirts around the rockiest sections. There aren't great views from the summit (it's mostly treed), but the traverse offers views that Little Ellis doesn't.
