The Massacre Creek Trail is a long but fairly easy route through rolling hills of fir and sagebrush. The trail peaks at a grassy ridge before descending towards the Big Creek Trailhead. From there you can make a loop back along the forest road if you choose or return along the Massacre Creek Trail. The forest road faster but comparable in distance.
