Swauger Lakes lie in a seldom-frequented lake basin southeast of Dry Creek.

If you hiked in along the ridgeline from the Dry Creek Trailhead, you have three options. You can return along the Swauger Lake Trail the way you came, take the spur trail west from the lakes and make a loop with the Dry Creek Trail, or continue following the Swauger Lake Trail east and make a loop back to the trailhead along the dirt road.
