The trail up Mount Idaho is a class 3 scramble that can become a class 4 scramble in places if you don't have great route-finding skills. Remember to bring gloves for the scree, and bring bug spray for mosquitos in the wet season.
The trailhead is relatively easy to get to and the views from the ridge are spectacular.
