Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria
It was built as a replacement for the original destroyed church in the village of Mladá. The building is built in neo-Gothic style. The interior is interesting for its original interior painting, which was done by Russian prisoners of war in 1915-1919 in the Orthodox style. The equipment of the church is of three origins. Part of the equipment was transferred here from the defunct baroque church in Mladá (altars and some benches), part was made directly for the church (new confessional) and part was purchased and donated by parishioners (statues of Jesus Christ and Mary or some candlesticks). Saint Catherine was born in Egypt at the end of the 3rd century. She was extraordinarily wise and beautiful. She was baptized and was firm in her faith, resisting the pressures of the pagan sages and refuting their dubious teachings. The emperor got angry and had Katerina tortured for it.
