A beautiful little place, idyllically situated on the Vltava, with the famous Karlštejner castle as a landmark. There are many small restaurants and of course souvenir shops.

In the first restaurant on the left side of the street from the church to the market square, the wine grown here is offered. Elsewhere, sure, try it.

The beautiful castle Veltrusy was built by a count in the 17th century as a country castle in Baroque style.

Before you enter the center of Neuchâtel on the Elbe, you still pass the massive city walls. Without knight's armor but with jersey and shorts we are denied entry.

The old town is well worth seeing, the Welscher Hof mint, the Cathedral of Saint Barbara as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Several canyon-like valleys cut through this former sandstone plateau The most famous, the "Kokoriner Tal", is about 20km long and is flanked by 20m high sandstone cliffs. The most outstanding attraction is the capstone (Pokličky).

Reminds a little on the Rhine or Moselle: A river, wonderful green banks and slopes, now and then a ship and you right next to it on the road. No wonder that the people of Prague like racing bicycles here.
