From Lokfelder Damm, there is a beautiful view across the Neuhöfer Teich (Neuhof Pond) and the panorama of the Reinfeld church quarter. The dam impounds the water of the Bischofsteicherbek stream to create the Neuhöfer Teich. This is one of the 60 fishponds that the Cistercian monks of Reinfeld created between the 12th and 16th centuries. The pond's name is derived from the Neuhof farmstead, the monastery's first and oldest agricultural enterprise. The farmstead once stood where the high-rise building now rises.
