If you have the energy for a run, you wont get much better exersise or views than going up the Northern route of pen y ghent.

The path junction on Horton Moor. Head uphill on the Pennine Way to the summit of Pen-y-Ghent, a tough but fun climb with great views. Head south down the trail to Horton in Ribblesdale. Or you can carry on north-east up the Pennine Journey trail onto Foxup Moor and a longer loop.
