The village of Deutschenbora was first mentioned in a document in 1334. It can be assumed that Deutschenbora had its own church building from the beginning. However, the first documented mention of a pastor from "Deu-czin-böre" dates back to 1428. In 1698 the church was completely renovated and the 33 m high church tower was built on the late medieval foundations. A new nave was built between 1700 and 1708, which was extended to the east around 1739.
