The observation tower is on the Galgenberg above Plana. It used to be a wooden tower.
In 1909 it was replaced by a massive stone tower.
The observation tower has a platform 18 m high, which can be reached via 73 steps. You then have a wonderful view as far as Marienbad and especially of the town of Plana. It is always freely accessible.
