More than 100 sculptures, fountains and other works of art (such as mosaics) are set up in the park area of the zoo. An artistic specialty results from three sculptures by Stephan Horota: young fox (1965), group of giraffes (1995) and Indian rhinoceros (2005). Since these come from different creative periods, the artistic development can be seen, even though they are spatially separated in the zoo. The bronze sculpture "Young Fox" by Stephan Horota from 1965 is located on a stair cheek between the wolf enclosure and the camel meadow.
