This is a beautiful section of the route, but is in a protected reserve. You are not allowed to leave the designated trail with your bike, so please follow the route files.

Gravel riding
The section from the Coche parking lot to the Gerland fountain is easily rideable on gravel. However, the rest of the route towards Pré Peyret (and then the Col de Rousset) is much less so: the paths are rocky or have exposed boulders, putting you to the test (I rode it with 55mm tires).
