    Until it was blown up in 1945, the bridge over the lock was a so-called swing bridge. When it was rebuilt, it was designed as a high bridge, with strips nailed on instead of steps. The locals called it "Häuhnerledder" (chicken ladder).


    The name didn't change even with the new construction in 2003.
