The children's and homeland festival, the Bächtlefest, can look back on more than five centuries of history. A municipal regulation from 1518 shows that drinks and meals were held on Bechtelin Day at the expense of the city. The forms of the festival have changed over the centuries, what has remained is the festival itself and the joy of young and old at the Bächtlefest, one of the most traditional local festivals in Upper Swabia. All those who have experienced Bad Saulgau as a festival town are looking forward to this festival.
