The Rubble Locomotive
This old locomotive was built in 1910. After World War II, this and other small locomotives and dump trucks transported 2.5 million cubic meters of rubble out of the city to specially constructed rubble dumps, such as those on Hindenburgplatz.
The "rubble locomotive" is thus considered a contemporary witness to the city's reconstruction. It was donated to the city in 1961 by the P. Büscher company of Münster.
