The Sterrenbos was built in the 17th century in the French style at large country houses. Several paths (usually 8) run out from 1 center point. The forest of stars was mainly used for hunting. The hunter stood in the middle of the star and the helpers drove the game in. The fighter had a view over the paths from the center and was thus able to bring in his target in a targeted manner.
