The Bingerbrück equestrian signal box is located to the north of Bingen main station. It was completed by 1937 by the architect and Reichsbahn construction official Hans Kleinschmidt. Actually, the name "Reiterstellwerk" is not correct, since the construction of the system is a bridge signal tower. However, it was entered in the list of monuments with this name, which is why it is still incorrectly called that today. At its peak, the signal box was manned by five people, who primarily regulated the sequencing, train separation and train formation traffic in the freight yard section.
