Border Trail Hesse–North Rhine-Westphalia

After a beautiful forest path from Willingen, you eventually come to a barrier. Do not continue here! The "border path" from Hesse to NRW is a few meters lower and is a narrow forest path. The first challenge: crossing a small stream over stones. Then it goes steeply uphill on a forest path lined with tree roots - challenging, but beautiful! The muddy path there is less beautiful - at least in autumn. It is also unpleasant that the Langenberg - after all, the highest mountain in NRW - is not signposted. It is "somewhere" after about 300 m on the left of the path. There is a place to rest there, but apart from a summit cross, you can't see much here, because everything is surrounded by forest... It is better to continue walking to Clemensberg. There you actually have a beautiful view of the mountains of the Sauerland.
