Figure at the Upper City Gate (Porte Haute) of Bergheim in Alsace. The Lack'mi represents a person who was persecuted for debts or unauthorized, excusable crimes and found shelter in Bergheim. Through her gestures she makes fun of her pursuers; her name is expressive. This half-relief was donated in 1997 by a Bergheimer, after the original of 1534 disappeared in 1852 and has not reappeared. (Wikipedia)
