The distinctive Iron Hand signpost has been located at a crossroads on Ihlefeld since the Middle Ages. It was mentioned as a terrain marker in a Bad Langensalza official book in 1554. You are looking at a copy, the original was secured in 1964 and re-erected at the castle in Mülverstedt.
