The Town Hall in Opole is located in the middle of the rectangular ring, the Opole Market Square. First mentioned as a timber construction in the 14th century, it received a stone façade in the 16th century. Its present-day neoclassical appearance was given to the building at the beginning of the 19th century. The former Baroque town hall tower was replaced in 1863 by the present, which is modeled after the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
