Late Gothic fortifications from the second half of the 15th century. Built from 1440 on both sides of the central market street with a total of 10 towers; formerly opened to the east and west by two gates (largely demolished in the 19th century).

The Protestant church in Bergen is dedicated to St. Laurentius. The baroque hall church was consecrated in 1684. The 29 m high tower was only built in 1741-1743.
