Beautiful vantage point with a wide view over the Nemunas (Memel) and your surroundings 👍
The viewpoint is located on a hill formed by the Nemunas and Kartupis rivers. It is believed that Bisenė Castle, which was burned down by the Teutonic Order in 1283, stood here. The rebuilt castle was again burned down by the Crusaders in 1316 when they attacked the rotating Bisenė Guard. After that it was not restored.
