The two linden trees near St. Wendelin are particularly steeped in history: they were planted on April 24, 1879 in honor of the silver wedding anniversary of Emperor Franz Joseph and Emperor Elisabeth in a grand ceremony. More than 140 years later, all necessary renovation measures are carried out in such a way that the stately trees are not adversely affected. The repair work will start at the end of May and should be completed by mid-June 2021.
