The lighthouse was built in 1904 during the period under German rule. He is a beacon with a beacon. In 1920, in connection with the end of World War I, he was taken over by Denmark. In 1927, the lighthouse had a fixed lens apparatus, a mantle for kerosene and blinds for the flashing of the lighthouse. The old official residence can be booked today as a school hostel Fyret.

From the Schullandheim at the Nordborg Lighthouse you have a fantastic sea view from three sides. The sandy beach with sandbanks is just 200 meters from the house, and on the lawn, which leads down to the beach, it is possible to play barbecues and ball. Around the Schullandheim you can discover Als on the bike or on foot. Universe is only 9 kilometers away (you can rent bikes on Augustenhof Camping).

The Schullandheim has a large, well-equipped kitchen and two dining rooms. Ideal for school classes. The Schullandheim has 1 bedroom on the ground floor with 4 beds, 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor with 6 or 8 beds and 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor with 12 beds.

In addition, there is a separate room on the 2nd floor with 2 beds.

In the annex, a 70m2 building, there are 2 bedrooms, a living room, a toilet with shower and a kitchen.

Guests must bring their own bed linen or a sleeping bag, towels, tea towels, etc. There are 30 beds. The kitchen is equipped with service for 30 people, with two ovens, dishwasher, complete with pots, pans, glasses, etc.
