The Alp is located in a large clearing on the southern edge of the Mittelwald at 1,087 m above sea level. M. Every year 42 cattle and calves summer on the alp. During the high summer months, the animals are on the higher Alp Engi in Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann, which belongs to the Sellamatt alpine region.
The alp and especially the vantage point at the Alpkreuz with benches above the alp hut attracts many hikers, bikers and snow tourers all year round.
