    Hiking

The Granite Flume Trail runs through the path of an old flume that brought water down to a power plant. The Flume has been gone since it was replaced by a pipeline in 1998, but you can still see old cement footings and other remnants along the trail.

History aside, it is an easy and accessible hike with breathtaking views of Big Cottonwood Canyon. The trail ends abruptly with a barrier on the trail followed by a cliff, so you’ll have to turn around at that point.
