The Kalser Tauern, also called the Kalser Törl, is a mountain pass on which the border between East Tyrol and Salzburg runs. At 2,515 meters you have a magnificent view of the nearby Tauernkogel and the Medelzkopf. The Kalser Tauern separates the Granatspitze group from the Glockner group.

Great transition from the East Tyrolean Dorfertal to the Berghotel Rudolfshütte in the state of Salzburg. The main Alpine ridge is crossed again using an old mule track.
