"... To the right of this intersection, Kesberner Straße / Lägertalstrasse runs parallel to Lägerbach, later Baarbach to Iserlohn. Up to 1900 there were 15 grinding mills, wire rollers, stretch hammers and forges on this stream. At that time they were the economic center of the Iserlohn industry .
The only evidence of this past are the buildings of the former "Schmölenrolle", in which the wire for wool scrapers was made by Hermann Schmöle in 1615 ... "
