The radar station is located at the top of Håen (440 m), Værøy's second highest peak. The station can be reached via a paved road that is closed to general traffic. But there are also some more or less difficult hiking trails to get to the summit. From the summit you have a great view over the whole region; The view over the steep, almost vertical flank to the south towards the abandoned village of Måstad is particularly spectacular.
