    This stone is actually a boulder with a circumference of 16.8 meters and a volume of 32m³. It is located on Lubminer Strand, not far from the homestead settlement of the same name. As the largest boulder in the region, it was brought to its present location during the Ice Age by the movement of huge glaciers.

    But the name of this boulder or erratic block, as these stones are also called, has a different origin. The village church in Wusterhusen, 2km away, also plays an important role. Because anyone who has ever driven past the village, 16km east of Greifswald in the direction of Wolgast, may have noticed that the church tower has a slight incline.
