We did it and at the end of last year we finished the restoration of our hose tower.

The hose tower is a distinctive sign of a fire station or fire station. It is still mainly used today to dry pressure hoses after operations and exercises. In the hose tower, the hoses are pulled up in the middle with a pulley. There is also a siren on our hose tower, which is used with every alarm.

We say thank you to the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse Potsdam for the financial support. Thanks to the city of Dahme/Mark for providing the larch trunks, GQ-Galabau GmbH from Wahlsdorf for transporting and sawing the boards and beams, and Emmermacher Bau Dachdeckerei from Jüterbog for straightening the tower and replacing the beams. We would also like to thank the many hard-working helpers from the Wahlsdorf fire brigade and the Wahlsdorf fire brigade association.

In the future, we want to use the hose tower not only for drying the hoses, but also as a training facility for our children's and youth fire brigade.
