The defensive walls were built in Lipiany in the 14th century, and their original length was 1,470 meters. To this day, a 100-meter section in the northern part of the city at Okrzei Street and the remains of two towers located nearby on the same street have been preserved.
Two beautiful Gothic 15th-century gates on the eastern and western sides of the town make an impression. From the west you can see the Pyrzycka Gate, and from the east the Myślibórz Gate.
