Hiking

Mikhail Kutuzov was born on September 16, 1745 in Saint Petersburg. [3] His father, Lieutenant General Illarion Matveyevich Kutuzov [ru], had served in the Engineering Corps for 30 years, fought against the Turks and served under Peter the Great. Mikhail Kutuzov's mother came from the Beklemishev family. Due to his father's outstanding achievements and his mother's high birth, Kutuzov had contact with the imperial Romanov family from an early age.
