The Church of All Nations (Latin Basilica Agoniae Domini; also Church of the Nations or Basilica of the Fear of Death) is a Roman Catholic sacred building in the Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives.

The church was built between 1919 and 1924 with funds from twelve countries. Hence the name Church of the Nations.[2] The coat of arms of each of the countries involved can be found in a separate section on the ceiling of the church. These are the coats of arms of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico on the left, Italy, France, Spain and the United Kingdom in the middle of the church and Belgium, Canada, Germany and the United States on the right.

The three-nave church has the classic basilica shape with no tower but twelve domes representing the twelve apostles, supported by six red-brown columns symbolizing the olive trees.[3] In keeping with the fear of death theme, the interior is relatively gloomy. The altar faces the rock on which Jesus is said to have prayed and is surrounded by a trellis reminiscent of the crown of thorns.

The present church stands on the foundations of a 4th-century Byzantine basilica built by Emperor Theodosius I, which was destroyed in an earthquake in 746, and a 12th-century Crusader church, destroyed in 1345. Parts of the original floor are still visible in the church today.

Church with one of the nicest atmospheres in the city. Well decorated, but not overloaded and perfect in the combination with the dark blue ceiling.
