Parc de Merlet is a convenient way to see some of the native wildlife and some that is not such as Llamas . We did not go in but walked around . On an earlier trip we ran into an Ibex, some way before the Parc and saw several more in other areas around Chamonix along with Marmots.

Parc de Merlet is a convenient way to see local alpine wildlife and some that is not such as LLamas. We did not go in but walked on past as we had seen an Ibex just before getting to the Parc on an earlier trip and ran into a Marmot elsewhere in the area.
