This a beautiful outcrop and situated not too far from Hound Tor which attracts a lot of attention (quite rightfully so) and is well worth a visit.
For the thrill seekers, If you enjoy climbing and moving across the rocks of Dartmoor than Greator Rocks will not disappoint. The outcrops top is almost knife edged and the entirety of this structure can be traversed, but make sure you are confident in your own abilities before trying because the drops are considerable on both sides and definitely get the heart racing.

The tor is romantically situated at a point where the slope breaks off briefly to form a spectacular series of upward-jutting rocks that, from certain angles, look like a series of jagged granite needles. Grea Tor is partially adorned with a maze of climbing plants that give it a colourful appearance: from the south, the two main crags are quite bare, with a huge cave in the eastern cluster; from the north, near the medieval village of Hound Tor, the crags are much more vegetated, where trees obscure some of the granite. In the summer months, bracken surrounds the southern base of the crags, but the crags nevertheless have an appearance that inevitably impresses the visitor who approaches and climbs over the granite. torsofdartmoor.co.uk/tor-page.php?tor=greator-rocks
