The Beuron Danube wooden bridge is a 73 meter long covered wooden bridge and crosses the Danube near Beuron. It was put into operation in 1801 and served all traffic until 1975. After the new construction of a reinforced concrete bridge around 100 meters down the Danube, it became superfluous for car traffic, completely renovated in 1976 and restored to its original condition. It was renovated in 2005 and is now only open to pedestrians and cyclists. On a map, which is an appendix to the “Expert Report Evidence of the Beuronian Imperial Immediacy” dated September 15, 1787, you can see that a covered wooden bridge already existed in the 18th century.
