The Zebegény National Flag and Heroes' Monument is a memorial complex built in the 1930s based on the plans of Géza Maróti on Kálváriahegy towering over the village of Börzsönyi, from where a picturesque panorama of the Danube bend opens. The original, incomplete ensemble was later supplemented with monuments to the 1956 revolution. Zebegény is a popular tourist attraction, where commemorations are held every year on June 4, the anniversary of the Trianon decision that tore Hungary apart after the First World War.
