The Fischteich in the forest Querburg is another attractive attraction at Waldgottesdiensten (with the boulder as a natural altar), barbecues in the summer, skating and curling in winter or just to linger. On the hill above the pond stood in early times once the Queneburg, an advanced palisade fortress of a fortification line to protect Hildesheim from enemy attacks. At the end, as yesterday, the Lechstedter Obstweinschänke, known far beyond the small town, attracts many hikers.
