Currently - JULY 2023 - you can experience the High Middle Ages on four weekends in July at Hallwyl Castle.

A group of settlers settles in front of the castle gates and builds a farm here - complete with chickens and everything that goes with it.

Each of the four weekends focuses on a different topic: On 1./2. July farmers and craftsmen show how was built in the High Middle Ages. On the weekend of 8./9. July is all about nutrition, on 15./16. July for clothing and textiles. The peak is on 22./23. July, the visit of Lord von Hallwyl with his entourage: nobles stroll through the castle and courtyard, musicians play - and the audience immerses themselves in the medieval festive mood.

On the four weekends you can also stay overnight on the medieval farm (can be booked separately, limited number of places).
