The Taichi Single Whip sculpture was created by Ju Ming in 1985. It is part of the Tai Chi exhibition, an initiative of François Odermatt, the Power Corporation of Canada and Integro Insurance Brokers. Nineteen larger-than-life bronze sculptures, all part of the Taiwanese artist's Tai Chi series, were installed at three locations around Montreal - at Mount Royal, the Old Port and here in the Quartier International. The Taichi series has previously been shown in many public exhibitions in Brussels, Berlin, Luxembourg and Paris, among others.
