Hiking
Fredskoven consists partly of an old pleasure forest, i.e. a forest intended as a picnic area for city dwellers, a reforestation area and some meadow areas in Rudkøbing Vejle. The old Fredskov of 3 ha was extended by 14.5 ha of new forest in 1991/1992. This means that excursions are possible both on the open Vejle and in the shelter of the forest.
10 ha of the area were planted with deciduous trees, which will form a high forest in the next 50-100 years.
