There is a relaxed atmosphere at Hahnensee and there are several different rest areas on the shore as well as an inn. A beautiful path runs between Hahnenweiher and Köckenweiher with wonderful views of the fountain and the church.

The Hahnenweiher in the heart of Schönsee is a beautiful place to relax. Between 1989 and 1996, a spa park was created around the small lakes Hahnenweiher and Keckenweiher and along the Ascha. The Schönsee Lake Festival takes place here, among other things, there is the possibility to rent rowing boats and pedal boats and the lake is an inviting place for walks or to relax.
