The Kielder Column, a spiraling pink sandstone sculpture designed by John Maine, has stood at Bakethin Weir in Kielder Water & Forest Park in Northumberland since 1999. Originally created for the National Garden Festival in Gateshead, the Column now forms part of the Kielder Forest Art & Architecture Trail, where art and nature converge. Situated along the Lakeside Way, surrounded by woodlands and viewpoints, the work invites visitors to reflect and wonder amidst the serene landscape.
